Ruby Bridges

She was the first black girl to attend an all white school in the south.  This is significant because the south was just becoming unintegrated, and most people still didn't like blacks.  Everyday she had to go to school being guarded to prevent being attacked by angry protesters.  This was the start to all schools having both white and black students.

Rivera Notches Save No. 600

The New York Yankees got the win against the Mariners and got Rivera his 600th save.  Rivera got a congratulations for Derek Jeter who has been his life long teammate.  I thought it was great for Rivera to reach this milestone.  I think he has and will continue to have a great career in New York.

Weather slows up the spread of BWCA fire

Wild fires start by the grass and plants getting too dry and allows the fire to spread quickly.  To put out the wildfire Black hawk pilots use parachutes filled with water from near by lakes.  They have to move quick so the fire can spread into homes and destroy resources.

i found it interesting how many people play those games and i think its interesting how they plan to put them all in one place.

9/11 Review

I watch the 9/11 documentary The Days Remembered.  It showed the damage that was done and told people's stories that they had.  On that day they made all the kids in New York school districts to go home.

Obama Payroll Tax Cuts

Presadent Obama spoke infront of a joint sestion of congress about the economy.  Obama asked Congress to pass the American Jobs Act as soon as possable.  The act includes multiple tax cuts for small buissneses and small buisness workers.  HE says the act appeals to both Republicans and Democrats.  Durning his speack the Presadent said pass this act right a way 17 times.

9/11 Audio FIles

New audio files were relesed from the plane on September 11 2001.  The audio files have people speaking on the plane saying/ realizing that something was wrong.  They also include people seeing the event happening.

Confused Moose

A man found a Sweedish Confused moose traped in a tree one night.  He had called the police to get the moose out of the tree.  the police along with animal controle was able to cut the moose free from the tree and set hinm free.  the moose was said to have eaten fermented apples from the tree.
